Mariah. (with a period) Teams Up with the Newark Love Man Raheem DeVaughn

Raheem and Mariah

It’s called “Hold On Me.” The new single from Newark’s Raheem DeVaughn and Louisiana’s Mariah. (with a period) is a sensual slice of sophisticated soul.

Mariah. says, "This beautiful song serves as an anthem about love and perspective. Love can have powerful effects on the mind, heart, and body; creating an inescapable embrace. The person becomes like an energy pack: charging and elevating his/her intended."

A former nurse, she’s an active partner with the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s “Love Music Stop Cancer” campaign. She likes to say how she “believes in never giving up” and “dreaming with your eyes wide open.” Raheem now lives in Washington DC where he hosts his own radio show and runs his own label. “Soul music is alive and well,” he says.
